Grown Up Dad

As the Senior Producer of Grown Up Dad, a PBS documentary series, Joshua has delved into the evolving role of fatherhood, asking the timely question: “What does it mean to be a good dad today?” Historically, fatherhood was defined by financial provision—putting food on the table and a roof overhead. However, in today’s landscape of shifting gender roles and critical discussions about toxic masculinity, this definition feels increasingly incomplete.

Through the perspective of host Joseph Gidjunis—a father determined to break the cycle of "drive-by parenting" and be truly present for his son—the series journeys across the United States and Australia. Inspired by cultural phenomena like the hit TV show Bluey, the show examines what modern fatherhood looks like and how dads can rise to meet its evolving challenges.

With this project, Joshua has demonstrated his ability to craft compelling narratives, manage intricate logistics, and produce content that resonates with audiences on a deeply emotional and societal level. His work on Grown Up Dad reflects his capacity to lead ambitious, meaningful productions that connect with audiences while addressing critical cultural topics.
